Saturday mornings watching the A team

With my friends close and my family closer

I come from a place you cannot question

I’ve seen it all from life experience and height

I will not fall


I’ve been all over
My legs walked quite a distance
Going to different levels trying to find acceptance
With my family by me couldn’t ask for more
My life story is deeper than the earth’s core.

Working hard on and off the court
In guidance counseling going on the right path
A dream that I have
That’s hard to swallow
Because many of the greats who I try to follow
MLK, Malcolm X, all of the greats,
Who will be next?
