forgotten shoes

look at me
look at you
i don't know you
you don't know me
so we sit down
had a chat
but i still don't know you
but you know me
because i gave you my shoes
walked in them
experienced them
now i need your shoes
to walk those thousand miles
just to see what it would be like to
feel your pain
experience your life
go inside each others mind
just to see what we find
look through life through each others eyes
because you and i
are a lot alike
but too bad you
are no longer in
my life.
