Nightmare of your Taste
The nightmare engulfs me once more,
I struggle to flee,
But to no avail.
Forced down by the unseen,
Two enormous blocks descend upon me,
Unapologetically introducing my face to the ground.
The walls grow unbearably hot,
Burning me alive,
the orange glow maddening.
The heat rises,
Sweat falls harmlessly
As I scream inside.
Survival becomes foreign,
Hope is on vacation,
Eternity just arrived.
The glow disappears,
I am released up,
Free to let the cool air flow through me.
You gather your toast,
hurrying off,
As the nightmare is finally over.
