Jar of Stars

In a jar of stars,
full of different sizes and colors,
turquoise, mint, and currant
smile back at you.
That’s how your parents felt
not knowing if anyone was out there in the cold vast world.
If they cherished
the one they held.
I sometimes wonder
What’s out there
For you or me to discover
out in the air?
It is like finding the Holy Grail or King Arthur’s tomb.
Will you find a person who has been lost
or will you find the one who shall be most important to you?
Now what star
will YOU find?
