Happy and sad
How can this be?
Perfectly at ease
But also dying
Tears and smiles
Just like oil and water,
Do not mix
Yet somehow
They come together
On my face
Hope and hurt
How can two such contrary
Emotions fill me
At the same time?
Beauty surrounds me
But for every beauty
I see, a brokenness as well
Happy and sad
How can this be?
