Metal Mouth
Dear James Tippett,
look what you did to me
i look like a tool box
with my lips guarding
your tools.
I feel like i have a trampoline in my mouth
the springs clinging every time i open and close them
every time you land you hear a cling
every time i open and close my mouth you know it's me.
My tongue
has become a roller coaster
moving up and down
avoiding scraps and cuts
then moving side to side
to clean the peanut butter sandwich
that has pushed it's way in my bracket.
And i don't want to look weird winking at everyone anymore.
