Hush it's a Secret
It’s a secret
So hush,
The memories
Now mush.
We shot up the stairs,
Oh daddy you scared
Us.
I don’t speak of it often,
It’s secure in a coffin.
You’ve darkened her cheek
Daddy; left a print across her face.
You hit her;
”You’re never to hit a lady”
Didn’t Grandpa always say that?
Mommy took you to court
But nothing came of it.
You made us
Scared since;
I’ve tried not to make you mad,
Hence.
We still love you
Daddy,
We’ll forever be your
Little girls.
