Dark Star

In the beginning of time,
there was a star shining bright.
No one thought that any darkness
could take away its light.
Then came the hole;
it was black as night
and it started to take
some of the star’s light.
As time passed, it grew stronger
the light began to fade.
Then the star started to fight
For the light it had made.
This battle continues
some is gained, some is stole.
But never again
will the star be whole.
