Suicide

Lugging broken hearts,
So overwhelming,
These tough times,
Struggling to be perfect,
A perfect son,
A perfect brother,
A perfect nephew,

A tightly shut heart,
A tightly shut mind,
Thoughts,
Coming from where?
Stuck,
Depressed,
Under overwhelming pressure,
All gone.

Broken hearts
Left
Sure to be caught

In

Wind.

This is impressive poetry. You should be proud of yourself, and so should your cousin. He's in a better place now. This is a great poem, full of thoughtfulness and feeling. Great work!

This is truly amazing and heartfelt. I can relate to this. I have a cousin who attempted suicide while on substance abuse. I'm really sorry for your cousin. It's the ones who stay alive that feel the pain.
