I Go On

January 18, 2012

My soul has been stretched, tattered and beaten
My breath has been lost
The souls of my feet are thick as leather
And yet I go on

My skin is dirty and wounded
My face is sweaty
The sweat slithers down my neck into the burning scars
And yet I go on

My eyes burn with fire
My legs ache of ice
My heart beats with passion
And as long as it does
I will go on

My mind has been forced
To its own physical limits
My body has been brought
To its own mental limits
But mental limits only determine how far you are willing to go
Not how far you can go
There are no mental limits unless you make them
And until my mind wins over my heart
I will go on
