I remember
I remember the sounds of our heartbeats matched as if one
I remember the soft texture of his lips on mine all that night
I remember the meadow where it happened
The two of us alone in a beautiful place free to be together
Sweet meadow grass whispered in our ears calming with the wind song that seemed just for us
The sweet aroma he carried enveloped me, dazed me
His warmth surrounded me as he held me close through the cold night
I remember wishing his embraces would last forever
I remember the first time I felt love
But surely
It would be the last love I ever felt that was true.
A true love
A pure love a never felt again love.
I remember the brief taste I had caught of love and I shall long for his forever more.
