her wraith
She,
all powerful,
Scrapes the scaffolds of heaven.
White clouds flow like rivers.
Unearthly screams drift skyward.
Her minions arise.
Shadows revealed by the stars' burning light.
Heaven’s swords clash
against devils’ bones,
unmatched by angels’ bows
or their hearts’ glow.
Angels fly,
beauty unknown to mortals,
gold lining trailing their wings like tails.
Outmatched 12 to 1,
they beat retreat
behind pearly gates.
Her,
the reaping wraith,
commands the evil army,
while the devil laughs, in hell.
Through her eyes, He watches.
God grows weary
watching,
Misery gripping him,
all those lost, he once loved.
