Together
The vibrant colors spinning around me
The world passing me by
Moving on without me
Moving at billion miles per second
It seems like sometimes
I can’t keep up; I don’t know if I want too
But when it stops spinning I wish it would start again
The chaotic world slowly coming to the end
The colors slowly fading away
People losing houses, cars, boats, kids
Jobs.
Things are not what they once were.
The nights seem to get longer and colder
America’s dream isn’t a dream
Now a night mare
Recession is what they call it.
I feel so lost in this huge world
Not to know what is to come of it
2012 and the world is supposed to end
You touch my hand and kiss me
My lips begin to tingle
This rush of happiness all over me
This dark gloomy road that we are all headed
Is over once I hear your voice
As you kiss my cheek
And say I love you
It’s not an ending but a beginning
