young and blinded
Beer cans scattered around the floor,
And screaming coming from the other side of the kitchen door
But what could I do I was just a little innocent scared girl
Easy to toss, easy to dodge, and easy to tell “GO AWAY”
I was just too young to do anything
No one to talk to
No one to give you advice
No one to comfort you
Why is everyone so far?
Little by little I come out of my egg
I’m a newly hatched turtle and I am on my way
My voice will be heard
I don’t care what it takes
It could be forever and ever
But let me tell you this
What I have to say will be said
Too young to love and to take a chance?
No I was just too young and unknowing to speak and react
