Shadows
A beam of sun shines upon the sail,
casting a glimmering reflection
of the boat atop the water.
A shadow.
that falls upon another;
a petty, tiny row boat
tucked away in the deeps of the weeds
Out shone by the long lines
Of the glistening fiberglass sailboat
Hiding in its shadow.
Saw but not looked at.
just a meager one
Waiting
Waiting for someone to use it.
Waiting for someone to need it
to want it
but not now,
No one wants it
maybe Never.
It is invisible to them.
they are too caught up,
up in the majestic lines
The sails of the grand boat waving
against the sweet blue sky.
The small one will just wait
for its time to shine
and will be ready
When it is needed
As one day its time will come.
