That Moment When
That moment when you realized you were wrong
When the tight grip of your ego begins to loosen,
The regret that started building up like the snow falling on the ground
Immediately knocking you to your knees,
You made a mistake and there’s no turning back.
That moment when you lost something you need
Something you can’t live without,
But you know that you will never get it again,
No matter how hard you work or fight or beg to have it once more
Life is full of moments,
Good and bad
It’s those moments when you laugh or you cry.
Whether you have someone there for you or not
You have to get through it
Sure a steady hand to help you up is all you want,
But it’s getting up on your own with your own drive
Your own will, your own determination that makes you, strong
Yes, life is full of moments good and bad
But it’s not just about those moments
It’s what you get out of them;
Lessons, knowledge, joy, and even pain
That moment when you realize that everything you feel
Means that you’re alive.
