Breaking Free

I’ve wrapped myself up in your lies,
I kept ignoring the look of betrayal hiding in your eyes.
I just stood by and let you weave this web around me,
covering up any truth with these sticky lies.

I can see all the lies you’ve told,
can remember all the dreams you stole.
I’m finally breaking through this web,
finding the truth hidden in all of your lies.

I’m rebuilding my life
from what you so carefully destroyed.
