Stuck in the Unchangeable
Silence consumes,
motivation leaves,
broken trust hurts,
respect fades,
and people change,
nothing can stay the same,
yet nothing is different,
we try so hard,
so very hard to hold on to the past,
that when change comes we run from it,
but along the way we get stuck,
stuck in the quick sand,
of our own making,
instead of pulling ourselves out,
we remain still and silent,
so when change comes,
it passes over us,
leaving us behind to watch our loved ones move on,
while we are stuck,
stuck in the unchangeable.
