The blood red queen
Chosen on a fine line-
To be a dream.
When a lifeless body was seen
Born. A miracle most divine
The blood red queen
Aphrodite and Dionysus called upon the scene
Beauty and sweet fragrance gifted at the crime
To be a dream.
But more did the beauty need
The West Wind blew so the sun could shine
The blood red queen
The flower bloomed and did its deed
Not what’s expected of vines
But, to be a dream
The queen does not lean
Out of grasp of your hands or mine
Somewhat cruel and mean.
The blood red queen
To be a dream.
