The Indemnity
It was very cold,
definitely below thirty-two,
wishing for but someone to hold,
especially you.
Getting bigger was the hail,
cloudier was my mind;
the right trail
was my trouble to find.
That night i just wanted to quit,
take a nap
but i knew to trust your wit,
even without a map.
I'm sorry for my behavior,
to the highest degree;
i shouldn't have needed a savior
and 'may you forgive me?'
