A grey fog seeps

Into her glassy eyes

Tracing me as I pace

Back and forth

Tail flicking

I look into her

Clouded brown eyes

She blinks at me

I slide to the floor

I pat the place next to me

She rises sluggishly

And waddles over

She nuzzles into my side

I glance at the clock

Tick Tock, Tick Tock

I wonder how many more

Tick Tock's of the clock

She will hear

"I wrote this about my 12 year old dog. Although she is comparatively older than me, she's my baby. She has been around since I was a toddler, and I love her to death, but she is getting really old, and going blind.
