Release

Grass coated in dew,
And sunlight shining softly,
Wings start to flutter.

Butterfly flies free,
Escaping its chrysalis,
Going with the wind.

Dandelion sways,
Bending in the same breezes,
Its sun mane sloughed off.

Seeds pull at their roots,
The call to dance is too strong,
Freedom’s very close.

Until finally,
They’re free. Free to fly away.
To dance in the wind

And accompany,
Butterfly’s beautiful flight.
Freedom forever.
