For those who traveled far and back
Forgive us
We sought the sun but received rain
We wanted more but received nothing
We thought we were unhappy
We thought our life was worthless
We thought the beginning had been a mistake
We thought too much, but we really didn’t think
We flew away from home
Tears can only fill so much loss
Words can only do so much
Silence is the burden that lays ahead
Love can last forever, but
Souls will not live forever
And before the day ends I’d like to ask for you forgiveness once again.
