Evolution of a Kiss

Once a man kissed a women
by the sea and their kiss transformed
into eleven kisses
that rose toward heaven
some increasing in size
as they ascended across the sky
they soon became spheres
as they rose beyond the atmosphere
the biggest kiss settled in the west
as if it were in a nest
and another, smallest in size,
became a moonrise
and the rest took there place
in space stuck like granite as planets
for astronauts to chase.
