Shadows
We hide in corners where you cannot see,
but remember we are always there,
waiting and hiding,
hiding from the sun.
Once the sun hits us,
we dissipate to become no more,
but once the sun goes down,
the fun resumes,
but some say it begins.
When the moon is the king of the sky,
we take our place across the domain,
we hide things behind our bodies,
blend into our surroundings,
and lurk around in a game of hide and seek.
But the night does not last forever,
so we take our hiding places,
say our farewells,
and wait for t he sun to go down,
so the fun can begin,
but some say it resumes.
