A moment swiftly caught
A surging lightening bug
Trapped in a jar
Awaiting to be released
Time goes on and on
Dictating us
To grow old
Played forwards
Played backwards
Rekindling the flame that once was
Nostalgia controlling the memory
Recollecting times swept away
Push play
To live life in every away
Like that day.

I wrote this piece as my family was watching old home movies. I realized that maybe it is time to grow up. As I sat and watched myself as a young girl, I felt the need to write down I felt.
