The world around
Is a horrible place.
Because of the damnable sounds
From everyone’s face.

Oh the blood shed
Everyone will stare.
Oh the new dead
No one will care.

The world is heartless,
A selfish, selfish place
No one will care
So shut your face.

So if you say you love the world,
This may sound pretty new.
Your love for the world is a one way road,
Because the world doesn’t love you.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because many years ago I had an epiphany. I had realized that the world doesn't care about people like me,and this poem expresses that I have to deal with it. I wrote this in hopes that people like me can relate to it and know that they aren't alone when it comes to these feelings.
