Bring Our Heroes Home
Bombs are exploding,
Debris floats In the air.
Soldiers are praying,
That they won’t die there.
Here back home,
We worry and wait,
About life in the desert,
A realm full of hate.
Behind enemy lines,
There is fighting and despair.
However we are blind,
To the terrors there.
The news tends to cover,
Topics that don’t apply;
No concern in the military,
Or the men and woman who die.
Over 30,000 wounded,
Over 4,300 deceased.
Day to day,
The quantity is increased.
Bring our troops home,
So many didn’t have the chance.
Sons, Daughters, and Spouses,
All left in a trance.
Bring our heroes home,
For eight years they’ve tried.
Fly them back to us,
Let them glow with pride.
