They say in school I'm not serious
I joke like Cory Holcomb
But that all changes today
And here's my poem to show em

Cause its time to buckle down
No more clowning around
Because of my potential
I'll never be standing down

No I'll never quit
Never give up
I'll keep pushing through
Despite the speed bumps and hick-ups

If only I knew
What had to be done
But I'll do whatever it takes
Cause dreams here I come

I am a senior writing a year-long poetry book. This poem is inspired by my future aspirations after graduating high school.
