Although you are not here,
Our lives are forced to resume.
Gleaming rainbows show you are near,
Wonderful waves of beauty loom.
We will be happy to see you,
When the tulips bloom.
No one will ever forget you,
Like the soft beat of a sweet tune.
After hard times we pushed through,
For precious life taken far too soon.
We will be happy to see you,
When the tulips bloom.

This poem is for my wonderful neighbor who lost her battle with breast cancer. Her favorite time of year was when the tulips bloomed.
