Alone Is

By , Norfolk, VA
Alone is where I find shelter
From days that I can't bare
Alone is where the pain hurts the most
And no one notices or cares
Alone is where my dreams run free
Where life can't pick and chose them
Alone is where I am accepted
Every flaw a precious gem
Alone is my escape
From all the molds, expected, and fake
Alone is where I'm most self-destructible
And I allow myself to break
Alone is where I'm at my most vulnerable
And I allow myself to feel
Alone is where I'd rather be
Because Alone is where I'm real
