As the tears trickle down my face,
I am smiling.
Smiling from the warmth and laughter,
circulating around the room.
Over looking the kitchen table,
I see the ones I love dearly:
a father, who laughs at his own jokes,
a mother so kind and caring,
and a sister who is my best friend.
Sharing our favorite memories,
supporting one another through the thick and thin,
this is a bond that sticks tighter than glue.
This love is a flame that burns eternally.
I put this moment on pause in my head.
I feel blessed.
I am at home.
