I see your face everywhere I go
I close my eyes
And remember the time in the movies
And downtown
I remember the moments
That meant the most
I remember that look in your eyes
When you told me you loved me
For the first time
And I remember feeling like
The luckiest girl in the world
I knew the rumors
Listened to the stories
Heard the warnings
Did I listen?
I remember the silly things we talked about
And the three am phone conversations
I remember thinking this could be the end
Of my problems
Just one chance?
I was hoping
You see
You didn’t see the damage that’s been done
Until it’s all said and heard
And you finally turn around
And see the mess you’ve made
I risked a lot for you;
I got lies
Nothing you said was original
You say the same thing to every girl
I’m not stupid
I see the things
The other people fail to notice
I do not regret the choices I’ve made
Or the things I’ve done
I risked the little bit that’s left for you
I wanted to believe
That you were right
And they were wrong
I see the pictures
The memories we managed to put together
And I want to cry
I want to be the person I sue to be
Make the same mistakes over again

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Very nice. I love the way you put it together and I can tell that you put a lot of emotion into your writing. Keep writing, you are really good. :)
