I felt a little timeless
Gazing at the mountains.
Those same mountains
That have watched
Settlers, generations,
Cities rise and fall.
Those same trees
That have witnessed
The fury of the sky
And the tears of Heaven.
Under the mountains,
I felt a little smaller.

Thanks! This was actually kind of a new thing for me, as most of my poetry tends to come out a lot longer, but with this one it was nice because I felt that the piece just wanted to sit as it was: a short, simple observation. Thanks again for your review, and I'll be sure to post more of my work in the future!

This is lovely, and I know exactly what you mean, (which is also lovely, because thats the point of making poetry public, right?) and I love how you link the first and last lines - in a timeless, small way :)
