Colors Of The Beach
Aquamarine
It is the clear ocean
Off the Mediterranean Coast
Reflecting the blue sky above
And the vast life below
A rare gem
Brighter than teal
Found in granite rocks
Symbolizing calm and rest
I see it stretching out beneath me
As I look down from 30,000 feet
The waves sparkle
And the amazing aqua color
Is further intensified
By the bright yellow sun
Yellow
The color of joy
The color of life itself
Comes from yellow
A fixed structure
A ball of light
Providing us with the opportunity
To experience our world
Or hiding behind the clouds
Waiting for the right moment
To illuminate the earth
We squint at its beauty
And bask in its warmth
White
The purest form of color
We can add
Or subtract
Any pigment
And white will soften it
The color worn by brides
Meaning kindness
The sand off a tropical island
Smooth between our toes
As we glide across it
The crystals in the night sky
Reflecting the sun’s light
Twinkling and comforting
