Favorite Quote:
"Life is the childhood of our immortality" Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Life is a river,
Some run deep,

Flooding with wisdom
Which only time can consort with,

Each gleaming grain of sand
Symbolizing a fond memory
Of time’s obscure past

A sharp reflection emerges,
Etched into its smooth, mirror-like surface is…

You,
Aged and antiquated,

Is this what you expected to see?

Dig deep into the wet
Tarnished guts of your soul,

Is this really the legacy you wish to leave behind?

Does your river run deep?

I liked the alliteration you used throughout the poem such as 'gleaming grain'. The whole poem really speaks to the reader, its well done c:
