Walking down the halls what do you see
preps,jocks,reeks, and then there is me
I don't fit in
I don't belong
I am a blemish on a once perfect skin
Or a bad chord in a one lovely song
I run away
From all the glares of contempt from day to day
No cares how I feel
Silently I endure invisible pain
Sadly I don't have a heart of steel
I feel i must hide my face
Because in our eyes I am a disgrace
Hopefully after all the unkindness I have been shown
Maybe I'll find a place to call my own

I can definitely relate to this. I like how you divide everyone and than put yourself as a whole different category. It's unfortunate for people like that, but true. Very nice!

It is sad that as we get older it feels like we seem to be less and less accepted for who we are.

You capture the feeling right.. At school I always feel like I never have the right to look anyone in the eyes.. Favorite line was "Or a bad chord in one lovely song"
