Nameless Poem #1

January 10, 2012
By , Willow River, MN
A restless fiend stirs
Rearing its horrendous head
It senses the growing weakness
It is attempting to escape
From its imprisonment of
A mortal soul and mind
Every caged in emotion
Every repressed thought
Providing nutrients for
This monstrosity’s strength
With every movement
The fiend becomes more persistent
The urge to lash out and become one
Are growing ever stronger
The need to let out all the anger and regret
In a single piercing scream
Nearly overpowering
Tears threaten to spill
More and more often
As the will of the mere mortal
Combats the thoughts of
An unnatural entity for the control
Of a single human body
