I Am From
Watching the snow fall on a cold winters’ day,
living in a snow belt in CNY;
church going every Sunday, even in all that snow.
Standing by my mom’s bedside while she was fighting cancer,
smiling in that picture of me and my little "sister".
The sounds of squeaky toys and of miniature schnauzer claws on the
hardwood floors.
Sweating in the greenhouse,
smelling a kitchen full of pasta when I came home.
Even though I reminisce about all these things,
now it only matters where they will take me.
