the great oak trees

that dance at twilight

were the first to see it

lurking forward from the distance.

they whispered it

to the feral vines,

who’s vicious habits of gossiping

once again got the best of them.

it grew larger

day by day

and i worry

upon its arrival.

when the madness of mainstream

flocks these hills,

what will originality eat?

how will it survive?

My blog inspired me to write this (www.unwellbutterfly.tumblr.com). The platform was once a place where unique souls could find one another and connect through their passionate similarity of creativity. Now, it has become so much more mainstream and lacks much of the beauty it used to contain. It upsets me.
