No Answer
They keep asking, but I don’t have an answer.
“You know were in a war right”
Explaining the why is like trying to watch TV during a power outage.
I guess that is because they see war as
Explosions and death.
For them war is a thunderstorm a lot of noise and light, but
When I think about it, it’s like watching the snowfall, quiet and calming.
It’s comfort comes in its simplicity,
Returning us to the most basic instincts.
The line between human and animal is all but gone.
Like breathing in and out, we don’t think about it we just do it.
Returning your state of mind to that of a kids, where anything is possible.
I like that its not a 9 to 5 job filled with boredom and resent.
For me it’s not about the title of a U.S army soldier or any other branch,
Like water in a river it still gets past.
I have no need for the glory.
It’s also not because I want the pride of it,
This is my problem I can explain what in not doing it for,
It’s like describing the taste of water to someone.
