It’s ten miles to the other side
Is it enough to say “we tried?”
When the world ends
And the moonlight fades
Are you proud enough of the life you made?
If you live your life lie by lie
Can you take your life stride by stride?
If you walk real proud should you have no regret,
I’ll tell you a secret you best not forget:
There’s no promise of tomorrow’s sun
So treat each day like it’s your last one
