On The Other Side
The lights portrayed the night sky
The streets were empty, deserted
I watched as the darkness of the Alley
Shadows came from behind the darkness
I shouldn’t be outside right now
But I can’t stand my house
Yelling and fear fill the air
The shadows revealed themselves
And they surrounded me
They wanted to me join their gang
But I didn’t want to ruin my life
No not now nor ever
It was time to get away
Away aware of my surroundings
Where I can be better in life
If I leave like Leon
I can too do something with my life
To make a name for myself
And get away from the streets
Where people roam and people drop like flies
