To be the song unheard
To be the book unread
To be the words left unsaid
I'm Afraid.

To race hearts instead of cars
To die inside than out
To know what love is about
I'm Afraid.

To never see the sun
To infinitely be in the wrong
To not have heart to be strong
I'm Afraid.

To be hidden away
To be holding back
To miss the confidence I lack
I'm Afraid.

The author's comments:
This poem explains the thoughts of depression. In particular, the thought of being alone while knowing that you love someone. When people read this, I hope they can understand people better, in particular, the people who are afraid of love.
