When the mirror appears in front of me

That's all I'll ever see

My body's imperfection

I can never be too small

Day after day

All I see

All the imperfections

All I ever want to see smiling back at me in the mirror

The girl worthy of something

The girl with the perfect form

But, all of it, is all I'll never see

Never see as my own

My body cries out

I'm ignoring and

Striving for the perfection

Could never settle for anything less

I'm starving to ruin my strength

My inner strength

That last couple pounds are never gone

And their taunts in my ears, burning

Just my hunting's

All I want

All I'll never get

I... I just want to stand

And not crumble

I want acceptance

The acceptance of my opinionated reflection

I have a scattered broken heart

From their evil words on carelessness

Their weak prejudice is what has gotten me to this state

Do you see them anywhere near?

What I feel when they stare; the burning in my flesh

These cuts are boiling

Causing my own pain

For the ugliness their eyes intake

My flowing tears will clean out my wounds before they heal

Breathtaking

All I wanna be

For my beauty to catch your wandering eye

My smile to shine brighter than the sun

My voice to sound like the angel's chorus

But You brought me glory

Showed me what I'm of worth

Showed me Your scars

The pain you went through for my destiny

And you show me

Show me what perfections I hold

I want to believe it

When you say I'm beautiful

But, it's not exactly something I can bring my senses to see

I'm just dull

Point out my imperfections, will they?

I'll rise

On my weakened knees and stand on the solid rock, I will

My imperfect perfections

Make me who I am

Those imperfections were burned and gone

Non-existent

But, my soul?

Taped the broken suture lines

Starting of the process of being whole again

Because You showed me

Showed me my imperfect perfections
