Dear Me,
How long has it been?
We haven't talked in awhile
You've been occupied, you say?

Well, I've been fine while you were busy
A little lonely, a tad forgotten
Growing cobwebs around my elbows and knees
But still here. Always here.

I've been lost, I know
Blocked by worries and stress
I have worked hard to break through the barrier
And now your task is to see me

Despite my efforts to be noticed
You are blind to yourself
I have been sitting in the simplest of places
Right under your nose

But I am invisible to those who don't seek
As bright as I become, it is all in vain
Without your will or care
I remain locked away, far from your eyes

But I am giving you a little nudge
Hey! Look! I'm here! I'm there!
I'm everywhere!
If you know what I look like.

Free yourself from that writer's block, old friend
And take a look around
Because I'm everywhere you go
Waiting to be found

Sincerely,
Your Inspiration

The author's comments:
I wrote this one day while I was wondering what I should write. Ironic, huh? I needed inspiration, and while I was thinking about it, I hought about what inspiration is. Inspiration could be anything, and as mentioned in the poem, can be anywhere you look.
