I should have given him the shirt back. It always meant more to him than me. Cotton worn thin, grass stains from rolling down that hill on my father’s birthday. But this shirt is more beautiful than him, me, our entire relationship… So goodbye concert tee, into the dusty space behind my bed where I found you.
