Last December

Last December, i hardly saw you,
And when we did, you weren't the same.e
Life has favoured you, and beaten me.
And i doubt if i would ever see you again.
The child in your eyes was gone,
What took it away, you away?
And for a while we just stood and stared,
Because we had nothing at all to say.

Last December, you send a card,
You never did send, you always personally gave.
You said, you were sorry and there was little time.
I think it was your face your face you were trying to save.
You called once, i did twice and mom asked why,
You wont come over like you used to.
I shrugged, what can i say, life and school,
Has changed and moulded you.

Last December, you didn't say goodbye,
You always did, we'll hug and cry and promise to write.
The postcards and the letters slowly faded, slowly.
I still don't know what is causing our silent fight.
And blaming you entirely isn't fair.
I blame myself, you lost me first, i drifted away.
i miss you more than you me i know for sure.
i miss you everyday.
