Oh the memories of long ago
Echoing through my head
Silence on the outside, maybe
The happy times
Me laughing on the inside.
Sad times fly
Inside of me I start to cry
Over saddened moments in my life
After looking back and seeing
My happy state of being
I cannot imagine the state I’m in
being natural to me
Aching for more happiness
to fill the sad memory slots
The more I think about
The happy memories
The sadder looking upon my life
Seems to be.
