Applause is a lighting bolt,
Saved til the very last scene.
The storm is over – you can be yourself once more.
It wasn’t easy getting here,
A storm is never pretty,
They just told you it’d be worth it
A storm can bring flowers
Flowers are thrown to a job well done,
It’s night time and the rain has turned to but a drizzle
But one clap makes a difference when paired with another
Listen to the pitter patter on your window,
Just hear that crowd scream

This is the moment you’ve been
Longing so tirelessly for,
Working so hard for,
Waiting so long for.
You’ve done your work
So hard, for so long.

Did you want it to be over,
Or was that said just out of frustration?

I’m tired of the storm,
I just want the sun.

Now, you can’t believe its over.
It shouldn’t have gone by so quick,
But it did,
And its done.

So go do your bows
And say your thank yous.
This crowd is giving you
The standing ovation you d e s e r v e.

Clear vision of how it is like "there after." Weather is a vast intrest of mine and you described how people look forward but yet dreat at the same time of the thought of disasterous storms. Well Struck. (That's my impression of a corny pun...)
